groups that co-sponsor Vote Utah each bring something different
to make voteutah.org a comprehensive guide for involved Utahns.
For instance, the responses that help you understand
what the candidates stand for come from the League of Women
Voters of Utah's Voter Guide. Watch for it inserted into area
newspapers near election time.
The debates and interviews conducted by KUED,
KUER and partners like the Hinckley Institute of Politics,
Utah Common Cause, the League and others are all listed on
our events page-- if you can't get to one group's debate,
check for another. Or, if you miss one, come back to voteutah.org
for transcripts or audio files of many of the broadcast events.
Plus, KUED provides Free Speech Messages that
let you hear from the candidates on the air or over the Internet.
And KUED-produced Utah Political Moments bring Utah's storied
political past to life. And voteutah.org was originally designed
by KUED Media Solutions and is maintained by the station's
Creative Services staff.
KUER's Ask the Candidate and Raise Your Voice
programs let you get involved online and on the air. Plus,
KUER's news stories keep you in the know about the latest.
The Utah Education Network designed the great
activities that students and teachers can do on the website.
They also get the word out to teachers about the Vote Utah
project.
And the financial support of the supporters listed
on the home page keep Vote Utah going to bring you these resources
each election. To all of them, from generous businesses and
foundations to the grassroots donations from viewers, listeners
and members, we say thanks!
And a special thanks to YOU! It's people taking
an interest and making their vote count, that make all the
hard work of all these partners worth it, and most importantly,
keeps the American dream of democracy alive.
