O BEYOND SOUND BITES to discover KUED's acclaimed election coverage. KUED Senior Producer Ken Verdoia presents a citizen-driven broadcast schedule to help viewers make informed decisions this November.

KUED's innovative VoteUtah coverage reinforces public television's role as a leader in balanced public affairs programming. The project offers unmatched access for all ballot-qualified candidates for selected statewide offices to share information with the public, consistent with the highest principles of community service in the media.

KUED archives debates and audio clips online. This site also offer full text transcripts in the "Transcripts" section and video files of candidates'' Free Speech Messages on each candidates' page.

Debates:

Leading up to the November election, Verdoia moderates live debates featuring questions posed by a studio audience comprised of concerned voters, including members of Common Cause of Utah and the League of Women Voters of Utah, and representatives from Utah Foundation. Apply to be in the Audience.

Free Speech Messages:

All ballot-qualified candidates for designated statewide offices will have the opportunity to speak to the voting public during primetime viewing hours. Airing at 9:55 p.m. in the thirty days leading up to the General Election, the messages promote balanced exposure to all candidates for select offices. KUED is one of only 15 stations in the country to offer this community service of free air time. Read or hear their Free Speech Messages.
